Yes! All of our balustrades are designed to be safe, reliable, and long-lasting. We also ensure our products are structurally sound and include no sharp edges or safety hazards.
All of our glass balustrades are tested before entering the market to ensure they comply with BS 6180:2011 standards.
At WPS Handrails, we use toughened and laminated toughened glass for our glass balustrades, in thicknesses that have been load tested to ensure safety. Our glass offers enhanced durability and excellent performance, ensuring you get your money’s worth.
There are various methods for installing glass balustrades, each chosen depending on the client's vision or environmental factors.
This includes surface-mounted or side-mounted installation. Generally, however, framed balustrades are installed by securing glass panels within a stainless steel frame.
Our Glass Balustrades are thoroughly tested for compliance with BS 6180:2011. Our choice of glass specification and balustrade structure provide load bearing to protect areas where the fall risk exceeds 600mm. Additionally our Balustrades are supplied at a minimum height of 1100mm for any external or commercial setting to ensure safety.
All of our framed glass balustrades come with self-installation kits and thorough how-to guides.
However, if you’ve never carried out a large DIY job before or you have no previous experience with balustrades, we suggest our professional fitting.
To ensure your balustrade remains in great condition, regularly clean the glass with glass cleaner or mild soap and warm water.
Avoid abrasive materials to prevent damage, such as scratches.
